About

There’s an old saying that goes “Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater.” Because I didn’t want this blog to be called “bathwater”, I went for the similar phrase of “Chew the meat, spit the bone”.

The Bible clearly calls for spiritual and intellectual discernment:

1 Thessalonians 5:21–22
“Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.”
Proverbs 14:15
“The simple believes every word, but the prudent considers well his steps.”

Two verses in particular stood out to me:

2 Corinthians 10:5
"We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."

Matthew 16:18
“And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”

Gates prevail by resisting to be demolished. I pray that if you are reading this blog, you will be nourished and equipped to take the fight against evil, and take every thought captive for Christ.
